Mandi Bahauddin Steering Committee Reviews Medical College and DHQ Hospital Upgradation

A key meeting of the steering committee was held in Mandi Bahauddin district under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Adeel Haider to discuss the establishment of a medical college and the up-gradation of the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
Professor Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, along with other relevant officials, attended the meeting.
The meeting included a detailed review of various matters concerning the proposed medical college, including available facilities, required infrastructure, educational needs and medical requirements. Matters related to the up-gradation of the DHQ Hospital were also discussed in detail.
The steering committee also examined recommendations emerging from the visit of a delegation comprising teams from the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, and the Health and Population Department.
The participants discussed the future course of action in light of progress on the proposed projects, required facilities and the responsibilities of the relevant departments. Officials concerned briefed the meeting on the status and requirements of the projects.
Deputy Commissioner Adeel Haider emphasized that the projects for establishing the medical college and upgrading the DHQ Hospital should be advanced effectively and in a coordinated manner.
He said that the initiatives are aimed at ensuring the provision of modern medical and educational facilities in the district and enabling residents of Mandi Bahauddin to access quality healthcare and modern medical education.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued coordination among the relevant departments to move the proposed medical college and DHQ Hospital up-gradation projects forward.
